I drink coffee while I contemplate the hundred-year-old olive tree, the sun enters through the kitchen window... starting the day like this is a gift. Everything is green and full of flowers around. The bread of the town is very rich, nothing to do with that of the city. Breakfast is especially enjoyed here.

Considered in its day by an authentic metropolis of the area, Ugíjar is one of the richest populations in historical and monumental houses in the entire province. It was defined as "aristocratic" by Pedro Antonio de Alarcón and an illustrious traveler from the 1950s, the Swiss Jean-Christian Spahni, considered Ugíjar to be the most picturesque town in the Alpujarra.

This municipality has a good lodging capacity, excellent restaurants and all kinds of shops and services. In addition, its privileged geographical situation, on the border with the Alpujarra of Almería, makes it an ideal place to settle and organize excursions along the different routes of the region, including its own annexes.
